Exuberance is complete!!

I am happy to say that we have received the block and the directions for the last block for Exuberance, and we’ve posted it up for you. Thank you to Gina Reddin of Splinters and Threads for getting this to us - her schedule is busier than mine is.

Now that Exuberance is completed, we’ll be working quickly to bring the next one online to you soon. Enjoy!

New blocks for you all…

Good morning,

We have 2 new blocks for you this morning - the LAST pieced block for Exuberance and the next block for Simplicity are here for your viewing pleasure. We’re still waiting receipt of the last applique block for Exuberance, and we’ll put that up just as soon as we get it.

Exuberance’s pieced block is by Susan Brubaker Knapp of Blue Moon River, and it’s just the funky kind of offset block that we love here at Cotton Spice. Simplicity’s block is by Robin Koehler of Nestling’s by Robin, and she’s the second designer to take me up on the challenge to add a ‘wild card’ fabric. You’ll have to look closely to see it, but it’s there.

Now that Exuberance is coming to an end, don’t panic. I have something on the drawing board that I think that you’ll be excited about, and I’m really hoping to let you know more about it next time. The working title is, at this point - Bountiful…

How do you like this new format? As always, email me directly at BOM@cottonspice.com if you have any questions, or comments on anything Cotton Spice…

Welcome to the New BOM blog

Welcome to another one of the changes going on here at the magazine! Going forward, this is the format that you’re going to see us using on the Block of the Month pages. I hope that you’ll enjoy seeing me in the new format - let me know what you’re thinking. You can still email me here at BOM@cottonspice.com

I got really excited about two things this weekend - and neither of them is snow. First, the clocks turn ahead next weekend - that’s a sure sign of spring if I ever saw one! The other one is that I am actively working on the next quilt outline for you- and I think it’s going to be interesting for both our readers and designers! I’m working on it now, and it will definitely be applique friendly for those of you that have been asking for that.

For those readers who are asking me about the February applique block for Exuberance, I can tell you that it’s coming soon. I appreciate your patience - as well as your emails asking about it - and we’re actively working to get it up and running as soon as we can. I’ll post here as soon as it’s live…

Think Spring!
